About

Teun Broekhuizen MSc student — Geographical Information Management and Applications (joint degree)

I am an MSc student in Geographical Information Management and Applications, following a joint degree across four Dutch universities. My academic background has built a strong interest in spatial and societal challenges such as space scarcity, the energy transition, and accessibility. I enjoy working in collaborative environments and use GIS to tackle complex questions in a results-driven way.

Experience

I worked with spatial datasets to support location-based decision-making and reporting. I cleaned, structured, and modelled tabular and geospatial data to create reliable inputs for analysis. Using QGIS, I produced maps and carried out spatial operations such as overlays, buffers, and basic suitability checks. I contributed to field and site-inspection workflows by preparing location materials and processing observations afterwards. I automated parts of the workflow in Excel and supported analysis pipelines with repeatable, well-documented steps. I communicated results clearly in presentations and concise outputs tailored to stakeholders.
